Mt Oberon Summit Walk

Wilsons Promontory hike, boasting panoramic views over the coast and offshore islands. Follow the track on a steady uphill climb to the viewing platform at the summit of Mount" long-description=" Oberon. See the dramatic and beautiful meeting of land and sea at the southernmost point of Australia's mainland.

Even in summer months the summit can be windy, cool and clouded. Beware of unprotected cliffs.

Location: Wilsons Promontory National Park
Distance: 6.8km return
Duration: 2 hours
Grade: Level 3 –  Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience recommended. Tracks may have short steep sections, a rough surface and steps.
Start/Finish: Telegraph Saddle car park
Getting there: Take South Gippsland Highway (A440) from Melbourne, turning south at Meeniyan (C444). Follow the signs to the national park entrance, travel 30km into the park and turn left into the well signposted road up to Telegraph Saddle just before you reach Tidal River.
