Birrarung Marr

Royal Botanic Gardens

Within the lush oasis of the Royal Botanic Gardens in the centre of the city, the Royal Botanic Gardens Aboriginal Heritage Walk leads visitors on a journey through the ancestral lands of the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin nation.

Participate in a traditional Welcome to Country smoking ceremony with an Aboriginal guide. Experience the beautiful wetlands, Fern Gully and the Australian Forest Walk, while your guide explains the traditional uses of plants for food, tools and medicine, as well as the history and contemporary life of the local First Nations peoples. 

Worn Gundidj at Tower Hill

Enjoy a 60-minute interactive walk through the Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve conducted by an experienced Aboriginal guide. Discover the natural habitat of some of Australia's most iconic native animals and identify native plants that can be used for food or medicinal purposes. Located between Warrnambool and Port Fairy on the Great Ocean Road, Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve is a natural landmark within a volcanic crater.
